Hello, my name is Sarah and welcome to my site…

I was born and grew up in the Pacific Northwest of California, to where I have stayed close ever since. I am intrigued and find inspiration in the peculiar and darker side of things or the natural world. Mental health and illness is large a theme that I find myself going back to time after time and will continue to explore more in the future.

I graduated in the spring of 2022 from CalPoly Humboldt with a BA in Art with an emphasis in Art Education. I am an aspiring art teacher and am currently working towards that goal as I am finishing my schooling. I love the creative expression and creative exploration that comes with art. And I believe that everyone can truly benefit from and create works of art. I do not believe that some people are born artistic and some people are not. Art, like anything else, is something to be practiced, something to be explored, and something to fail at at times. Personally, did not have an interest in art until I was in my 20’s, but once I did, it was all I ever wanted to do. In fact, prior to that I would have done anything to get out of an art class, ironic right?
